Doing All Things Well

Posted on April 23, 2013 by Wes in An Inspirational Thought for Today

It was said of Jesus …“He has done all things well.” Mark 7:37

Jesus spent plenty of time in prayer.  He listened for the message from God.  He was sent some difficult assignments but was empowered to complete each one of them and do all things well.

If we want to do all things well like Jesus, we will need to start by listening.   Listening for God’s voice is the key to success.

He speaks through

·     prayer

·     the Holy Spirit

·     the testimony of others

·     the Bible – a timeless resource

He wants us to know the depth of His love, understand His desires, and to walk in the forgiveness He provided.

I have never heard the audible voice of God, but I have had Him speak clearly to my heart.  When He speaks, He often confirms His message through various situations we encounter.  Many people call these events coincidences, but I recognize them as God aligning things and proving His interest in the small details of life.

Corrie ten Boom, Holocaust survivor, said it this way, “Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives, is the perfect preparation for a future only He can see.”

If you are ready for the challenge, take a few extra minutes right now and listen.  Start today by setting yourself up to do things well.  Listen for God’s words of love and direction for your life.

Lord, I give You permission to speak into my life today. Help me do all things well for Your glory.

Blessings,
Wes
