This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:10
The love of God tops any other we could ever know. Giving His own Son Jesus to D-I-E as a sacrifice for a sinful world was the Ultimate Gift. It was out of God’s perfect love for you and me that He did this. The result of this Ultimate Gift is that we now have forgiveness and access to heaven.
God gives us the choice to love Him back in response to His gift. He didn’t create us as robots to recite preprogrammed words of meaningless affirmation, “I love You, God. I love You, God. I love You, God.” He gave us a free will to decide for or against Him and His plan.
There are many things out there vying for our love and attention. Will you receive and be thankful for His Ultimate Gift of love? The choice is yours.
